I am fighting every day to make things better for our state, whether it’s delivering federal investments for infrastructure and jobs to every corner of New Mexico, or passing legislation that makes life easier for our people and our communities safer. I’ll work with anyone to get it done.
- Jobs: New Mexico deserves good-paying jobs. I’m fighting for federal investment in infrastructure, clean energy, manufacturing, workforce training, and our National Labs.
- RECA: New Mexicans got sick from the federal government’s own radiation exposure and deserved better. I led the fight to expand and extend the Radiation Exposure Compensation Act.
- Fire recovery: After the largest wildfire in state history devastated northern New Mexico, I passed the Hermit’s Peak/Calf Canyon Fire Assistance Act to help communities rebuild.
- Drunk driving: To keep New Mexico families safe on the road, I led passage of the RIDE and HALT Acts, which require impaired-driving prevention technology in new vehicles.
- Orphaned wells: With more than 700 abandoned oil and gas wells polluting our state, I led the bipartisan REGROW Act to clean them up, cut methane emissions, and create jobs.
- Broadband: Our rural and Tribal communities shouldn’t be left behind. I’m championing infrastructure investment to ensure our communities have access to quality, affordable internet.
- Veterans: Those who served deserve better from their country. I’m working to improve health care, expand earned benefits, and address veteran homelessness and suicide prevention.
